  28. Pressing F3 will "rotate" trough a list of
  29. available drives on the system. The drive
  30. selected must be the drive which the backup
  31. was made that is going to be restored. In the
  32. event that a drive other than a floppy drive
  33. is selected, The user must then use F5 to
  34. enter the path that the backup was made to.

  41. If this option is enabled, all files restored
  42. will be verified as they are copied to the
  43. destination disk.  The restore process is
  44. slower, but data integrity is verified.
  45. We recommended that you set this option ON.
  46. Use the F4 key to toggle verify ON or OFF.

  53. Pressing F5 will open a window from which you
  54. will enter tha source path from which the
  55. restore will be performed if the source drive
  56. is a hard drive or a network drive. This path
  57. would be the same path you specified as the
  58. target path for the backup.

  64. If the restore source drive is a floppy disk,
  65. insert the disk number specified in the
  66. selected drive.  If the disk number is out
  67. of sequence, the error will be reported.

  69. A list of drives backed up from is read from
  70. the header file on the first disk. You will
  71. have the opportunity to alter the destination
  72. of files restored for each drive backed up
  73. from.

  80. The original path for each file in the backup
  81. is stored on the backup disk. In the header
  82. file for the backup is a list of drives that
  83. were backed up from. For each drive backed up
  84. from you may enter a different drive and
  85. destination path that all files backed up
  86. from that drive will be restored to. The
  87. original directory structure that each file
  88. was in will be created "below" the
  89. destination path, ad if that path were the
  90. "root".

  97. Example : If the file "SAMPLE.CLA" was backed
  98. up from c:\clarion\work\ and the destination
  99. path entered for drive C: was e:\temp\, then
  100. the file would be restored to
  101. e:\temp\clarion\work\SAMPLE.CLA .

  103. The normal default for the restore
  104. destination path for each drive backed up
  105. from is the root directory of that drive, in
  106. which case all files will be restored to their
  107. orignal directory path.

  115. (1) Overwrite this file - will overwrite the
  116.     current file ONLY.

  118. (2) Overwrite all duplicate files - will
  119.     overwrite all files in destination
  120.     directory with same names as archived
  121.     files as restore process continues.

  129.     current file, but goes on to the next
  130.     archived file if one exists.  If the
  131.     current file is split across several
  132.     disks, you are prompted for disks
  133.     until the next archived file is found.

  140. (4) Skip all duplicate files - will not
  141.     restore any archived files that have
  142.     names the same as any existing in the
  143.     destination directory.

  149. All files are restored first to a temporary
  150. file. If the restore was successful, then
  151. the temporary file will be renamed to the
  152. original name. This prevents the original
  153. from being detroyed in the event that the
  154. backup was corrupted.
  155.  
  156. You may temporarily suspend the restore
  157. process at any time by typing the escape
  158. key.  The process may be terminated by
  159. (A)bort at this point.  You can continue
  160. the restore process by choosing (C)ontinue.
